Thirty-two percent of Peruvians have slept on the job, survey says

In Peru, 32 percent of workers have admitted to sleeping on the job, revealed a survey sponsored by Trabajando.com.

The survey was reported last week in daily Peru.21.

The study – which dubbed Peru “Latin America’s sleepyhead” – revealed that 32 percent of Peruvians have slept on the job, while 28 percent of Chileans, 18 percent of Mexicans, and 16 percent of Argentinians have admitted to catching some zzzz’s in the workplace.

If Peruvians – 39 percent of whom contend they suffer from insomnia – say they have fallen asleep mostly on their desks, the largest segment of Argentinians surveyed said they prefer the bathroom as a good spot to take a nap.
