An all night art festival open to the general public, following on the pattern of the White Night events in Paris, Rome and Madrid, takes place in the Miraflores district of Lima tonight, Friday 16, from 8pm to 5am. The event – titled Deliveri: the policies of exchange– has been organized as a grand finale on the final evening of the EU-LAC Summit by Jai Gonzales and Bernhard Fauser of the UnterwegsTheater of Heidelberg.

Leading European and Latin American artists are contributing to the event with a variety of activities that include art installations, experimental music, food fairs in honor of the potato, and even a mini-marathon. The events start with the artistic lighting of the Municipal town hall and central park of Miraflores by Norbert Mohr (No-Mohr-Light) of Germany.

Where: Central Miraflores, including the length of Av. Larco from LarcoMar to the Miraflores circle at Av. José Pardo, and some of the side streets including Av. 28 de Julio and the pedestrian walk of Tarata. What:

· The Street is Yours: a mini-marathon organized by Peru Runners, starting at 7:30pm at Parque Salazar (LarcoMar) to run up Av. Larco to the Miraflores circle and then down Av. José Pardo. Peru Runners are punctual.

· Parade-performance as homage to the Potato from LarcoMar up Av. Larco to the Miraflores circle and up the first few blocks of Alameda Ricardo Palma, then down and back along Av. Jose Pardo, to return down Av. Larco to its starting point. Organized by Antoni Miralda of Spain. Duration approximately 2 ½ hours, starting at 9pm from LarcoMar.

· Hybrid Garden light installation at LarcoMar (Parque Salazar) by Swiss-Peruvian artist Francesco Mariotti. From 8pm to 5am.

· Peruvian Videoart: From 8pm to 5am, at the La Hacienda parking lot on block 9 of Av. Larco.

· Art Showcase by Eduardo Tokeshi, one of Peru’s leading artists. An art installation on the Interbank building at the corner of Av. Benavides and Av. Larco. 8pm to 5 am

· Ceramist Carlos Runcie-Tanaka exhibits his latest installation of broken and repaired clay images in “Huayco/Kawa/Rio”, a work depicting truncated modernity, broken traditions and disintegrated communities. On Calle Esperanza, 8pm to 5am, just off Av. Larco.

· “Stereoreality”, a robot installation by young Peruvian artists José Carlos Martinat and Kiko Mayorga. 8pm to 5am at the Telefónica/Banco de Crédito building on Calle Schell and Tarata.

· Calle Tarata: Tables of potatoes as creators of light and energy, created by the Unterwegs Theater, Germany, and ATA of Peru, and designed by landscape artist Héctor Alayza Tijero. 8pm to 5am. The installation is in honor of Victor Grippo (1936-2002), of Argentina, who was internationally renowned for his contributions to conceptual art.

· Videoart from Austria and Switzerland: A large screen projected in Parque Kennedy against the wall of the church. 8pm to 5 am.

· Electronic music concerts at the Miraflores circle, at the top of Av. Larco and Av. Diagonal: Mouse on Mars from Germany with experimental electronic music at midnight, and Peruvian experimental rock band El Aire at 1:30 am, with screen projection of Planetopolis by Gianni Toti.

· French artist Georges Rousse exhibits his trompe l’oeil work in the wide passageway of an abandoned building (formerly the Vivaldi coffee shop) between Alameda Ricardo Palma and Calle Manuel Bonilla. 8pm to 5am.

· Temporary architecture with 42 photos of potatoes on a grand metal structure, at the corner of Av. Larco and Calle Diez Canseco. The photos will be installed during the parade, at approximately 11pm.

· Gallery Luis Miró-Quesada Garland – an exhibition of paintings by great Peruvian masters, open 8pm to 5am.
