The first exit poll by pollster Ipsos showed that center-right candidate Pedro Pablo Kuczynski led Keiko Fujimori, daughter of an ex-president jailed for corruption and human rights violations, 50.4 percent to 49.6 percent in Peru’s presidential vote.
The polling had a margin of error of more than 3 percentage points, meaning the candidates are unofficially in a statistical tie following Sunday’s ballot.
